Victory Sports Performance Program Director Johnny Griffith holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Kinesiology from Cal State Fullerton, with an education background in strength and conditioning, and various therapy methods.

Training Focus

SPEED – We teach athletes how to efficiently transfer power to the ground through proper form and technique and we help them build the appropriate muscle memory needed for sustainable speed enhancement.    

AGILITY – We teach athletes how to control and efficiently move their center of mass (balance) and how to make the coordinated, explosive, and reactive movements needed to be successful in their sport. 

POWER – We help athletes enhance their strength and flexibility through the use of proper form and technique and we teach them how to move forcefully through the appropriate range of motion to apply explosive power to their sport-specific movements and actions.   

INJURY PREVENTION – Current research and literature shows that non-contact injury incidents can be reduced by 50 to 80% through regular participation in appropriate Neuromuscular Training programs.  We help athletes reduce Injury Risk by incorporating the latest in sports science-based Neuromuscular Training through our Signature Dynamic Warm-ups, Muscle Memory Development Drills, Coordinated Strength and Flexibility Exercises, and Signature Cool-down Routine.

Performance Assessment

An integral component of a comprehensive sports performance training program is the evaluation process. All athletes participating with Victory Sports Performance must perform initial and periodic evaluations.

The goal of this Assessment is to help athletes find the WHY when it comes to training. Additionally, periodic assessments are the primary tool used to monitor the progress and efficacy of the training programs.

Video Analysis

We use frame-by-frame video analysis to identify opportunities for physical and technique improvement and to confirm progress. Athletes see themselves doing a specific movement and then they can compare to an elite athlete doing the same movement. Visual feedback helps athletes link what they do physically with what they feel physiologically which helps shorten the learning cycle.

Performance Testing

We use baseline and ongoing testing to document performance levels and to track progress. Athletes get baseline measurements to document their starting point, progress measurements to confirm their current status, and comparisons with athletes of similar age to see where they stand with their peers. Testing provides quantitative feedback which helps athletes link effort with progress.
